Our Story: Two Moms on a Mission for Clean Remedies

Lollibees didn’t start in a boardroom or a marketing meeting. It started in real homes, at kitchen tables, and during conversations between two moms who simply wanted better options for their families.

Like many parents, we were frustrated by the endless shelves of sugary syrups, mystery ingredients, and harsh over-the-counter products aimed at kids. We both asked the same question. Why isn’t there something gentler that still works? That question became our mission. And that mission became Lollibees.

Meet the Founders: Mandy and Johanna

We’re Mandy and Johanna, the moms behind Lollibees. Our backgrounds may be different, but our values brought us together.

Mandy is a licensed pharmacist, a running coach, and a mom who has always believed that healing should be thoughtful. With years of clinical experience, she’s seen firsthand the side effects that come with unnecessary additives, artificial dyes, and synthetic sweeteners. As a mom, she wanted to avoid those things. As a pharmacist, she knew she could do better.

Johanna is a physical therapist and a mom of three, originally from Sweden where natural health and sustainability are simply a way of life. Her upbringing emphasized clean diets, herbal remedies, and staying close to nature. When she moved to the U.S., she was surprised by how difficult it was to find simple, wholesome products for her kids—especially when they were sick.

Both of us had moments as moms when we held a bottle of cough syrup or looked at the back of a throat lozenge and thought, “This can’t be the best we can offer our children.” That feeling, that shared concern, sparked something big.

How Lollibees Was Born

We wanted to create something our kids would actually enjoy, something we’d be proud to give them, and something we knew was made with intention.

That led us to honey. Honey has been used for thousands of years to calm sore throats and coughs, soothe the stomach, and even support sleep. It’s safe for kids over one, naturally sweet, and effective on its own. From there, we began working on a simple idea. What if we turned this classic remedy into something kids loved?

We paired honey with trusted herbal ingredients like chamomile, elderberry, and fennel. We chose fruit-derived flavors over artificial ones. And we made sure every formula stayed free from corn syrup, artificial colors, dairy, gluten, and unnecessary preservatives.

That’s how Lollibees was born. A clean-label lollipop that actually supports your family’s health—not just their sweet tooth.

Building a Business While Raising Kids

Lollibees is more than a product. It’s a family business built by parents, made for parents.

Starting a company while raising kids isn’t easy. We’ve packed orders during nap time. We’ve answered emails while stirring dinner. We’ve taken product calls from the school pick-up lane. But we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Being mompreneurs has made us more intentional. It’s shaped every choice we’ve made in this business. From ingredients to packaging, we’re always thinking, “Would I feel good giving this to my own kids?” If the answer isn’t a clear yes, it doesn’t make it into our line.

The juggle is real, but so is the reward. Every time we hear from a parent who tells us our product helped their child sleep better or soothed a sore throat without a battle, it reminds us why we started. Lollibees is about creating small, meaningful moments of wellness. And we’re honored to be part of yours.
